xAPI (TinCan)

The Experience API (xAPI), also known as the Tin Can API (set to replace SCORM), is a modern standard for tracking and reporting on learning experiences that allows for the collection of data on user activities both online and offline.

Services:

1

Consultation and needs analysis

  • Evaluation of the client's current training and education systems.
  • Identification of requirements and objectives for tracking learning experiences.
  • Advice on the selection of appropriate xAPI-related tools and technologies.
2

Designing an xAPI solution

  • Development of system architecture, taking into account the specifics of xAPI
  • Design of data structure and xAPI ‘statement’ definitions according to client needs.
  • Planning for integration with existing platforms such as LMS (Learning Management Systems), mobile apps, VR, AR or other learning tools.
3

Technological implementation

  • Installation and configuration of the LRS (Learning Record Store) server for xAPI data storage
  • Integration of xAPI into existing educational systems, training platforms and applications
  • Create custom solutions and plug-ins to track various user activities.
4

Testing and optimisation

  • Acceptance testing in the customer environment to ensure that the implementation meets all requirements.
  • LRS server performance optimisation and xAPI integration.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and information security standards.
5

Training and support for users

  • Training of client staff in the use of the xAPI-based system.
  • Preparation of technical documentation and instructions for use.
  • Offer technical support, maintenance and system updates.
6

Reporting and analytics

  • Implementation of analytical tools for monitoring and reporting data from xAPI.
  • Create customised reports based on the data collected in the LRS.
  • Integration of external analytical tools such as KNIME Analytics Platform, Power BI, Tableau or Google Data Studio.
7

Additional services

  • Personalisation and customisation of the user interface of the learning platform.
  • Advice on the selection of training content and e-learning best practice.
  • Audits of compliance with norms and standards (e.g. SCORM, xAPI).
8

Continuous improvement and innovation

  • Monitoring new xAPI trends and solutions.
  • Regular software updates and introduction of new features.
  • Innovative approaches to the design of learning experiences, e.g. by implementing AI or VR/AR.
9

Additional services

  • Integration with external systems
  • Implementation project management
  • Post-implementation care to ensure that the customer is fully satisfied with the solution.
